The BIS Titration SimulatOR was developed as a creative learning exercise for anesthesia professionals to explore BIS-guided anesthesia titration during an animated simulation of surgery procedure. The simulator assumes that the user has basic knowledge regarding BIS monitoring.
For each patient, the user has the option of conducting the simulated anesthetic using either a volatile gas, TIVA, or TIVA-TCI technique. Regardless of technique, for a given scenario the user manages induction, intubation, ventilation, and fluids in addition to drug selection and titration. In conditions of inadequate anesthesia, analgesia, or muscle relaxant effect, surgical stimulation and pain thresholds determine patient somatic response and/or surgeon comments.

I would like the next version of the BIS Titration simulatOR to have a continuous feature. NO TIME OUTS, Nothing to pause the case if I don't intubate the patient in 15 meazly minutes. I would like a continuous case with the ability to simulate what I'd do in sedation with both TIVA and Volatiles. This would give the user an exploration of BIS monitoring without or with stimulation, and they could incubate, paralyze, and turn ventilation on or off as the paralysis comes on or wears off, and maybe even a Rocuronium Drip, or Vecuronium drip, or something like that. Maybe even a way to extubate to a mask. This would be awesome fun for me, because I mean This is a dream simulation I WOULD LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. I mean, this is just awesome to think about. I could turn on off sedation as I would like to explore the on effects and off effects and paralytics could be turned on and off, as desired, and so could ventilation. Basically I want to simulate ICU continuous sedation, and It would be continuous. If I wanted to leave my computer on 24/7 to simulate the case as I would love to do, I could. You have No idea how much I've been trying to get someone to assist me with this, and I've failed. If you would please send this to Covidien and ask them to do this. I think this simulator, no I KNOW this simulator has GREAT potentials, and It could go very very far. It just needs some work, and It'll get over 5 stars for the next version. I'm desperate for a good simulation like this. Thank you, and God bless. Remember, It could always be worse. Life is good!
